On June 25, 2024, the third annual meeting of JBBA was held, hosted by the Japanese Embassy in Bulgaria. The event also celebrated three remarkable anniversaries in the relations between Bulgaria and Japan - 115 years of first official contacts, 85 years since establishment of diplomatic relations, and 65 years since their resumption.
During the meeting the collaboration between JBBA and the Embassy for promoting Japanese investments was reconfirmed and next initiatives were defined. H.E. Hisashi Michigami announced that a Japanese business delegation will visit Bulgaria in October 2024 to explore new opportunities. JBBA Chairman Todor Kesimov emphasized the association's role in promoting Japanese business in Bulgaria and supporting potential investors.
JBBA is also participating in preparation for Bulgaria's participation in Osaka Expo 2025. The association collaborates also with JETRO to strengthen business ties and promote economic growth between Japan and Bulgaria.
