Astellas Bulgaria was awarded 3rd place in the category Best Social Policy for small and medium sized enterprise with Disease awareness campaign in support of organ donation- “Gift of Life”
This year’s awards were presented at an official ceremony gala on 10 June 2021 in Sofia.
The Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum’s (BBLF) Annual Responsible Business Awards recognize corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
The Awards celebrate the good practices of companies in support of social good projects in education, healthcare, the environment, talent development and regional communities. The aim of BBLF is to promote the private sector’s contribution to a fair society and a sustainable future. Despite the difficulties most businesses faced in the turbulent 2020 – the year of COVID-19, 78 different companies competed for the prestige awards with 111 projects, which is up to 30 % more than the 2019 year.
Winners were determined by a renowned panel of judges featuring prominent experts in various fields to secure an objective assessment. Assessment criteria include specific benefits to the community; work in partnership with other stakeholders; employee involvement; consistency; innovation and public recognition.
The prestigious awards were presented by the Minister of Economy Kiril Petkov, the Minister of Finance Asen Vassilev, the Minister of Education and Science Prof. Nikolay Denkov, the Minister of Labor and Social Policy Galab Donev, the Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Reneta Koleva, the Mayor of Sofia Municipality Yordanka Fandakova, the head of the international trade department at the British Embassy Tim Buiseret and the chairman of BBLF Levon Hampartzoumian.
The award for Astellas Bulgaria was a well-deserved recognition for the efforts of the whole team behind the campaign and the company’s commitment to initiatives and projects related to corporate social responsibility.
