Japan-Bulgaria Business Association (JBBA) was incorporated and officially registered on November 23, 2020

Japan-Bulgaria Business Association (JBBA) was incorporated and officially registered on November 23, 2020.

The Japan-Bulgaria Business Association is established to support and promote existing Japanese businesses in Bulgaria, to assist and provide information on the investment climate and legislation, as well as to provide practical support for operational issues to potential Japanese investors in the country. The association is also committed to stimulate interaction between members and their audiences, to represent Japanese businesses to Government and non-Government stakeholders, contribute to the regulatory debates and to positive and sustainable business environment. JBBA also aims to support activities that further develop bilateral business and trade relations between Japan and Bulgaria.

Founding members of the Association are Japan Tobacco International Bulgaria, Takeda Bulgaria, Astellas Pharmа, SEGA Black Sea and Zen-noh Foods. These are the companies that started JBBA as an initiative and one of our main goals is to attract more members that share our common vision and values.

The Management board of JBBA comprises of Mr. Vladislav Mihov (Managing Director of Japan Tobacco International Bulgaria) who is the Chairman of the Management board, as well as Mr. Stamen Bankovski (Managing Director of Astellas Pharma) and Mr. Todor Kesimov (Managing Director of Takeda Bulgaria).

JBBA is strongly supported by the Embassy of Japan in Bulgaria, which is closely involved in all activities of the Association.
