On 13 October the Bulgarian business and academia audience, as well as anyone interested, had the chance to virtually meet the CEO of Shiseido Mr. Masahiko Uotani and have a discussion with him. The online event was organized by the Embassy of Japan in Bulgaria, the University for National and World Economy and Japan-Bulgaria Business Association. The discussion was hosted and moderated by one of Bulgaria’s most prominent TV journalists Mr. Boyko Vasilev.
Shiseido is a leading global beauty products company founded in 1872. Today it is the biggest Japanese and Asian beauty products producer and one of the biggest global players in the sector, with operations in more than 120 countries and regions. The company CEO Mr. Outani gave the audience the very interesting story of Shiseido and its transformation in modern times that successfully returned the company to the path of growth and retained its leadership positions. Around 200 guests of the event were able to ask him questions related to global business practices, products, and of course, many were interested whether about the place of Bulgarian rose oil in beauty industry and the trade between Bulgaria and Japan.
