Ivan Lechev, Prof. Asen Dudov and Prof. Marin Georgiev are ambassadors of the initiative
On 03.11.2022, the prostate cancer information campaign "Together Against Prostate Cancer" was officially launched under the motto "My health is my responsibility".
The initiative, which is tied to the World Month dedicated to men's health - November, is being held for the sixth year in a row by Astellas Bulgaria in partnership with the Bulgarian Oncological Scientific Society (BOND) and the Bulgarian Urological Society (BUS). Ambassadors of the campaign this year are the musician Ivan Lechev, the chairman of BOND Prof. Asen Dudov and the chairman of BUS Prof. Marin Georgiev.
During the event, the specially filmed video clip with the participation of the ambassadors of the "My health is my responsibility" campaign was presented. During November, it will be broadcast on the screens of the metro stations in Sofia, as well as on the screens in the waiting rooms of 13 medical institutions in Sofia, Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv, Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Zagora, Yambol and Vidin. The video will also be distributed online. The messages of the campaign will be promoted through branded buses in Sofia and Varna, billboards and subway panels. In addition to the support of the Sofia Municipality and "Metropolitan" AD for the broadcast of the video in the subway, the campaign also received support from Sofia Airport. Passengers passing through the airport will see stickers in the men's toilets with information about the need for PSA testing for men over 50. Behind the campaign was also the team of "Darick's Sports Show". Throughout the month of November, the presenters will remind their huge male audience about prostate cancer and the possibility of monitoring the condition after the age of 50 with just one blood test.
