On 10 February 2023 a training for JBBA members was held on the topic of reporting violations of Bulgarian and EU law. The topic is important and relevant due to the obligatory transposition of the Whistleblowers Directive of the European Union, which creates obligations for the business to implement reporting rules, to define persons responsible for the the reporting, to ensure protection of the people and their personal data and not to undertake actions that would harm the people that reported a signal, and their close ones.
The training was conducted by attorney-at-law Eleonora Mateina, manager at Eversheds Sutherland, with an experience of more than 10 years in regulations, representation and competition law.
