Takeda Bulgaria Transforms Children’s Park in Slatina Neighborhood

The team of the Japanese biopharmaceutical company Takeda planted trees and low vegetation at one of the iconic playgrounds near “Daniel Neff” Alley in the Yavorov neighborhood, located in Sofia’s Slatina district. This initiative is part of the company’s green strategy to support local communities and protect the environment.

“Our primary goal as a biopharmaceutical company is to leverage science to enable better health for people. Our green strategy encompasses not only a commitment to environmentally friendly projects in the communities where we operate but also sustainable solutions in our daily work. By greening this area today, we reaffirm our long-term commitment to sustainable development and our desire to actively contribute to creating a cleaner and greener environment,” said Todor Kesimov, General Manager of Takeda for Romania and Bulgaria.

“We are grateful to Takeda for their contribution to the green spaces in our district and for setting an example of collaboration between businesses and local authorities. These joint efforts not only create a cleaner and more welcoming environment but also demonstrate a commitment to the development of urban spaces,” said Georgi Iliev, Mayor of the Slatina district, who personally attended the event.
